Jamie has been counsel to the firm since 2002. His vast legal and business experience allow him to effectively represent clients while also ensuring that a deal is successfully consummated. He specializes in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, sales, leasing and associated financing/banking. He has been involved in over $1 billion worth of deals and the leasing of over 5 million square feet of space. Jamie has held Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel positions at some of the largest developers in New York. His practice also includes corporate law. Some of his real estate and corporate clients are Robison Energy, International Technology Services, GHP Office Realty, RPW Group, Houlihan-Parnes Realtors, Silverman Realty, National American Bank, Meadows and Manors and Fundamental Sports. He has negotiated and closed deals with Fortune 500 companies including Berkshire Hathaway, Verizon, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, TD Bank, Johnson Controls, Tyco International, 3M, Nike and Omnicom.
In addition to commercial real estate and corporate law, Jamie also specializes in entertainment law, specifically the music industry. He was Senior Vice President at Loud Records, a major Hip Hop record label with acts such as Wu Tang Clan, Big Punisher and Mobb Deep. The company consistently had over $100 million in sales while he was there overseeing the business and legal aspects of the company. He simultaneously served as General Manager of the Steven Rifkind Company, a lifestyle Hip Hop marketing company. Jamie was responsible for the acquisition and closing of marketing deals with such companies as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Levi’s, Bausch & Lomb’s Killer Loop Sun Glasses, Hugo Boss Fragrances, Sony Records and MGM Films. He has also started various companies and is involved in many real estate investments.
